April Cello is a cellist and loop artist. With her Yamaha Electric Cello and a sophisticated loop station, April artfully weaves together the many sounds of the cello to create a rich and full string sound that rivals that of a traditional string quartet – all in one neat, petite package!

With well over a decade of experience performing at weddings and corporate events with string ensembles, April now performs as a solo loop artist to deliver beautiful string music and a unique atmosphere that stands out in the Wedding Market.

April’s entertaining performance is full of contemporary heart-warming, swoon-inducing, and toe-tapping songs that you and your guests will know and love. She loves to perform covers by a wide variety of artists, including Jason Mraz, Colbie Caillat, Coldplay, U2, Ed Sheeran, Michael Bublé, Ellie Goulding, The Beatles, Taylor Swift, and Vance Joy to name a few. Be pleasantly surprised and experience string music played with a modern twist.

Based in the Southern Highlands, April is available for weddings and functions in the Southern Highlands, Sydney, South Coast and the Illawarra regions.

April performs regularly with singer/guitarist Yvonne and is happy to coordinate the ultimate vocal/guitar and cello duo for your wedding or event. With her smooth and passionate voice, Yvonne is perfectly paired with her guitar and the rick and soulful voice of the cello by April.​​

April has extensive classical training as a cellist, pianist and as a composer.  She has performed as a soloist and as part of ensembles in Melbourne, Wollongong, Canberra, Sydney, Japan and New Zealand.  Most notably, she has performed on cello with the Melbourne Youth Orchestra and the WIN Wollongong Symphony Orchestra, and she has worked with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra as part of their Young Composer Program.
